How Words helps kids say it in a sentence

What Words is for

Tomorrow Kid’s Words vertical is sentence-first vocabulary practice. The Home tile calls it “Say it in a sentence”—the warm orange bento on Home—so kids meet a target word inside a real sentence before they practice it.

Sentence lessons, then practice

Each word opens as an illustrated sentence with the target word highlighted. Kids can listen (recorded audio or on-device TTS), then move into a practice picker.

Practice modes:

1. Trace it — letter-stroke tracing, or shape colour-in when strokes or an age gate block strokes
2. Find it — hear the word, tap the correct option
3. Fix it — put missing letter(s) back into the word
4. Play all — run the modes in order without picking each time

Find and Fix award stars with gentle mistake bands (clean run = 3★, one slip = 2★, more = 1★). Trace counts toward completion. Kids still leave with a star so vocabulary practice stays encouraging.

Locale lists and offline-friendly play

Word lists are locale-aware, and stroke practice can fall back through the same glyph cache Tracing uses—including Myanmar-capable paths when strokes are available. That keeps short practice windows useful even when the network is flaky.

Stars and the Sticker Book

Stars from Words flow into the shared Sticker Book economy. The reward language stays familiar while sentence vocabulary grows.

A calm way to introduce it at home

1. Open Words from Home (the orange tile).
2. Pick one word and read the sentence together—point at the highlighted target.
3. Try Find it first so listening leads the way, then Trace it or Fix it.
4. On another day, use Play all for a short, complete round and celebrate the stars.

What to try next

Keep sentence → Trace / Find / Fix as the spine for each new word. Use Play all when you want a full loop without decisions, and lean on Trace when handwriting practice feels right. Stars still feed the Sticker Book, so the reward language stays familiar while vocabulary grows in context.
