How Memory helps kids watch, remember, and match
A parent guide to Tomorrow Kid’s Memory—Matching, Who left?, Copy the tune, Remember spots, age filters, offline cache, and when to turn it on.
What Memory is for
Tomorrow Kid’s Memory vertical is age-aware working-memory practice. The Home tile calls it “Watch, remember, match”—short brain games that ask kids to hold something in mind, then act on it.
Parent tip: Memory starts hidden by default. Open Settings and switch Memory on when your child’s age band and readiness match—same gentle gate the app uses for Math.
Four game types parents can name
Inside Memory, sets are labeled by game type so you can pick the skill you want:
- Matching — classic flip-and-match pairs
- Who left? — spot what disappeared from a scene
- Copy the tune — watch a sequence, then replay it; for the Simon-style watch → replay loop, length growth, and when to use it vs Matching, see the Copy the tune guide
- Remember spots — recall which positions lit up on a grid
Card faces can be icons, words, characters, numbers, or colours, with optional TTS or audio clips so listening supports looking. Best star scores sit on each set so progress is visible without a separate report.
Age filters and offline cache
Sets whose age range misses the selected child’s band stay hidden, so a younger profile is not dumped into every brain game.
Memory uses a cache-first manifest: the listing and already-played sets keep working without a live connection—useful for travel days, weak Wi‑Fi, and “five minutes before dinner” practice.
Stars and the Sticker Book
Stars use the same percent bands as Math and Quizzes, then flow into the shared Sticker Book economy. Finishing a set still feels familiar: earn stars, unlock tokens, claim stickers—without inventing a second reward language.
A calm way to introduce it at home
- In Settings, turn Memory on for the child’s profile.
- Confirm the age band so the set list matches what they can try.
- Sit together for one Matching round—name the game out loud (“find the pairs”).
- Next time, try Who left? or Copy the tune when attention feels ready; leave harder grids for later.

Keep Matching as the warm-up spine of the week. Rotate in Who left? and Copy the tune when focus is fresh, and save Remember spots for a stretch day. Stars still feed the Sticker Book, so the reward language stays familiar while working memory grows in short, age-right bursts.
