How Home Activities show or hide Math, Memory, and more
A parent guide to Tomorrow Kid’s Home Activities toggles—parent math gate path, Math/Memory opt-in defaults, Logic Lab age gate, and a Home bento that reflows when tiles are hidden.
What Home Activities is for
Tomorrow Kid’s Home Activities settings let parents shape what kids see on the Home bento. Each learning vertical has a toggle: Flashcards, Quizzes, Stories, Tracing, Colours, Words, Math, Memory, and Logic Lab. Switch one off and that tile disappears from Home—the grid reflows so you never get a half-empty row.
Math and Memory start off on purpose. Parents turn them on when the child is ready. Other verticals start on. Preferences are device-local (UserDefaults); no account is required.
How to show or hide Home tiles
- Open Settings (parent math gate first—same gate used for Child Information and My Progress)
- Find the Home Activities section
- Toggle any vertical on or off—the caption reminds you that Math and Memory start hidden, and that Logic Lab still needs the Early Primary age band
- Return to Home—hidden tiles are gone; opt-in Math or Memory appear only after you enable them
Logic Lab has an extra gate on top of the toggle: the age range’s upper bound must reach 7 (Early Primary). Toddler / Preschool bands and “prefer not to specify” never show the Logic card, even if the Logic Lab toggle is on. Set age range under Child Information when you are ready.
A calm way to introduce it at home
- Pass the parent math gate yourself before inviting your child into Settings.
- Leave the default Home alone for a week if the child is still exploring Flashcards, Stories, and Tracing.
- When counting or memory games feel welcome, turn Math and/or Memory on—then point at the new tiles together.
- Hide a vertical that is overstimulating or not a good fit right now; you can always bring it back.
- Pair age range (Child Information) with the Logic Lab toggle only when Early Primary content is appropriate.
What to try next
Use Home Activities after Kid Profile so the greeting and the tile set match your child. Daily Goal still counts any three different activities that remain visible. When you are ready, open Tomorrow Kid, pass the Settings math gate, and customize Home Activities.
